1. Confirm the eSIM line is turned on

Open the SIM or cellular settings and make sure the travel eSIM profile is enabled. If the profile itself is missing, the installation may not have completed.

2. Select it for mobile data

A phone can show the eSIM as active while still using another SIM for data. Explicitly choose the travel eSIM as the mobile-data line.

3. Check data roaming

Many travel eSIMs require data roaming on the travel line. Keep roaming disabled on your home SIM unless you intentionally want to use your carrier roaming service.

4. Try automatic network selection first

The eSIM should normally attach to a supported partner network automatically. If it does not, compare the available networks with the plan instructions and select a supported carrier manually.

5. Check APN instructions

Some packages configure the APN automatically; others can require a specific value. Use the APN supplied with the package rather than guessing.

6. Restart the radio

Toggle airplane mode for several seconds or restart the phone after changing network settings. This forces a fresh network registration.

7. Verify the plan is active and has data

If the eSIM previously worked, confirm the package has not expired or run out of data. A working profile cannot provide internet after the data allowance is exhausted.

Do not delete the eSIM too quickly

Some eSIM profiles cannot be reinstalled after deletion. Exhaust the normal troubleshooting steps first unless support specifically tells you to remove it.
